Maintenance

Cleaning

The cabinet should be cleaned with a soft dry cloth. Particular attention should be paid to ensure that the fan vents are clean and free of dust and dirt.

If necessary, the external surfaces of the cabinet can be cleaned with a damp cloth. Do not use excessive fluids or solvents to aid in this process.

Periodic checks

Periodic electrical tests should be performed on the cabinet by the machine manufacturer or installer of the product. These should include the following operations:

  • Electrical safety inspection and tests, including earth bonding.
  • Inspection of cables / conduits entering the cabinet, including mains power cables.
  • Functional test of the CMM system, including limit switches, crash switches, low air or any other fault detection signal.
  • Emergency stop system test.
  • A test to check if fans are expelling air from the vents at the top of the cabinet.

NOTE: It is the user's responsibility to define how regular these checks need to be performed in order to maintain a safe working environment.
