Laser10 software

Laser 10Easy-to-use Laser10 software makes machine performance testing quick and easy. Results are analysed to a range of internationally recognised standards for machine tool performance evaluation as well as a comprehensive Renishaw format.

Laser10 software provides the capability for static and dynamic measurement of a machine's linear, angular, straightness, squareness and rotary accuracy.

Many features and capabilities including:

  • Automatic data capture
  • Dynamic measurement
  • Universal error compensation
  • New report standards
  • Comprehensive on-line help

Before ordering software always confirm that it is compatible with your PC specification and operating system. Hardware upgrades may be required to operate available ML10 software.

Linear error compensation software

Laser 10

Most CNC machine tools have an error map in their controller to compensate for the errors in axis positioning and motion. Over time additional wear can lead to changes in the background error values and inadequate error map.

Your Renishaw laser can check for these remaining errors and then, using this software, calculate compensation values which can be  uploaded into CNC machine controllers to improve postioning performance. A final check can then be made to confim the machine's positioning accuracy.

Suitable for use with either ML10 or XL-80 laser systems. (See LaserXL™ for details.)

QuickView™ software

QuickViewQuickView™ is an intuitive and easy-to-use software package that gives a real time, graphical view of the Renishaw ML10 laser's measurement data, sampled at 5 kHz.

Oscilloscopes have been used for many years by electrical engineers to investigate variations in voltage or current versus time. QuickView™ now brings the same capability to the mechanical engineer by displaying variations in linear or angular displacement, velocity or acceleration against time.

Used by machine tool users and builders it is also attractive to motion system manufacturers, research laboratories and academic institutions carrying out detailed motion system analysis. It enables quick and easy investigation of travel linearity, acceleration, times to travel velocity, over-travel and settle times at target positions, as well as resonance and damping. It has applications anywhere where there's a need for accurate and flexible investigation and measurement.
