Product quality statement

1) Frameworks for crowns and bridges that are designed by customer using a Renishaw Dental (or Procera^® Forte) Scanner and incise CAD software are manufactured by Renishaw to fit patient models. Such design and manufacture are in accordance with the applicable essential requirements of the Medical Devices Directive (93/42/EEC) and the manufacture is carried out under a quality management system that complies with BS EN ISO 13485:2003.

2) Frameworks for crowns and bridges that are designed using scanners and/or CAD software other than those set out in (1) above are manufactured by Renishaw to customer-supplied designs. Such manufacture is in accordance with the applicable essential requirements of the Medical Devices Directive (93/42/EEC) and under a quality management system that complies with BS EN ISO 13485:2003.

“Structures” means the various types of finished or partially finished dental restorations supplied by Renishaw from time to time, including frameworks for crowns and bridges, and abutments.

A complete range of restorations

incise supports a wide range of restorations:

• Crowns – copings for posterior and anterior crowns, with full control over margin line, thickness and fit to the stone model. Further customisation is possible, including local thickening to avoid excess porcelain.
• Bridges – from 2 to 8 units in size with assistance in optimal pontic and connector design.
• Custom abutments - Compatibility with a wide range of implant systems.
• Bite indices and reference teeth – ensure that frameworks leave sufficient space for porcelain before committing to manufacture.
• Wax-ups – design customised frameworks by scanning the model first, followed by a second scan of a wax-up.

The incise software can support both ceramic and metal frameworks, minimising messy manual processes and giving you a ‘one stop shop' for all your restorative dentistry needs:

Zirconia

incise uses yttria-stabilised tetragonal zirconia (Y-TZP), certified to ISO 13356:1997. Much stronger and tougher than alumina, it is suitable for long-span bridges as well as crowns and is guaranteed for 10 years. Zirconia is also the best dental material for thermal insulation, enhancing patient comfort.

incise zirconia provides an optimal combination of strength and low thermal conductivity, whilst also being less hard and therefore more workable than alumina:

Colours

Four colour options are available, so you can produce restorations that perfectly match the aesthetic needs of the case.

Non-precious metal

The incise software offers centrally-made crown, bridge and abutment frameworks made from a very pure form of cobalt chrome (CoCr)*. The metal is sintered, which avoids the weakness and distortion that are characteristic of investment casting, resulting in stronger frameworks with exceptional marginal fits.
