    Bernese Mountain Dog implant A truly international effort, involving input from Germany, Canada and the UK has seen additive manufacturing (AM), also known as metal 3D printing, used to great effect to help save a Canadian family’s dog. In a recent procedure, Renishaw helped to produce an implant designed by Voxelmed in Germany that was fitted in Canada, to replace the hard tissue lost due to tumour removal.

    Bridge2Aid Global engineering technologies company, Renishaw, is a bronze corporate partner of Bridge2Aid. The charity trains healthcare professionals in rural areas of developing countries to provide them with new skills in emergency dentistry and oral health. This year Renishaw’s sponsorship part-funded the training of a clinical officer, who is now providing dental care to 10,000 people who previously had been without access to a dentist.
