For machining centres

The Renishaw GUI for Okuma machining centres is a user interface providing on-screen selection buttons allowing machine-resident Renishaw inspection and tool setting cycles to be called. These cycles MUST already be loaded to the machine tool part program memory area and configured according to their installation documentation before using the GUI.

Controller compatibility

Okuma P200M and P300M controllers and API version 1.9.1.0 or later.

API version 1.16.0.0 is recommended (1.12.1.0 minimum) for P300M controls when running tool setting cycles: earlier versions of the API will not load tool data.

For lathes and multi-tasking machines

The Renishaw GUI for Okuma lathes is a user interface providing on-screen selection buttons allowing machine-resident Renishaw inspection and AxiSet™ pivot point compensation cycles to be called. These cycles MUST already be loaded to the machine tool part program memory area and configured according to their installation documentation before using the GUI.

Controller compatibility

Okuma P200L and P300L controls with API version 1.17.0.0 or later.

General requirements

Ensure that the API and THINC Startup Service are installed. These applications are included with all P200M and P300M controls.

THINC Startup Service is required to ensure that the machine's NC is fully booted before the GUI is run.

If an API icon is not displayed at the bottom of the controller screen, contact your local Okuma distributor and arrange for the API to be installed.
