Renishaw's modular systems enable a probe to access features for inspection, or part setting, which might be inaccessible to a standard probe. Renishaw has a comprehensive range of adaptors, extensions and stylus configurations to tackle even the most demanding probing applications.

OMP40M and OMP60M optical modular systems

The OMP40M and OMP60M enable inspection of part features that might be inaccessible with a standard probe. They both allow fitment of adaptors, extensions and Renishaw's LP2 probe.

These modular systems maintain compatibility with existing Renishaw optical receivers to enable users to upgrade existing installations. When combined with the very latest modulated transmission interface these systems offer exceptional resistance to light interference.

RMP40M and RMP60M radio modular systems

The RMP40M and RMP60M modular systems enable probe inspection of part features that would be inaccessible, combined with radio frequency hopping spread spectrum (FHSS) communications. FHSS is particularly beneficial in multi-axis milling operations where the line of sight between the inspection probe and the interface cannot always be maintained.

Probing software options

The following software packages can be used to program probing routines for workpiece set-up and inspection on CNC machining centres.

  • GoProbe – entry-level package for simple workpiece set-up and tool setting routines.
  • Inspection Plus – an integrated suite of inspection cycles including vector measurement.
  • Productivity+™ Active Editor Pro – a PC-based software package with GUI, allowing users to select features directly from an imported CAD model.
