Encouraging engagement in STEM subjects

Run by the SS Great Britain Trust, the Future Brunels programme aims to inspire young students with science and engineering learning throughout secondary school. Renishaw is a proud supporter of the programme through its membership of the Trust's Brunel Institute Corporate Academy.

Working in cooperation with four partner schools within Bristol, the Trust selects a cohort of 12 students each year to join the Future Brunels programme. Each cohort spends a full five years in the programme, from Year 7 through to Year 11.

Future Brunel students take part in activity days designed to encourage engagement in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) subjects and promote understanding of the many career opportunities available to them by following STEM subjects in higher education.

With the support of Renishaw, the Future Brunels programme focuses on providing young students with vibrant, meaningful STEM-related experiences that add further value and real-world context to the schools' core curriculum.
