Terms of use

You have entered Renishaw's ‘Media hub', where you will find pre-approved images and text about Renishaw's business, products and personnel (the “images”).

By downloading and / or using any of these images, you agree to be bound by these Terms of use.

If you disagree with any of these Terms of use, please immediately discontinue use of the Media hub and do not download any images. Renishaw retains the right to change any of these terms, the Media hub and its content at any time without prior notice.

Renishaw may immediately revoke all permissions granted to you without notice if you fail to comply with any provision of these Terms of use. If permission is revoked, you immediately agree to stop using this site and the images, delete all images and all copies from all media and destroy all other copies.

You shall ensure that your use of this site and any images shall comply with all applicable laws in the country in which you operate.

Permitted Use

The images on Renishaw's ‘Media hub' are free of charge for you to use for one year within truthful articles in printed or electronic media, such as websites, magazines, newsletters, books, broadcasts, newspapers and school or university papers or publications.

Please contact Renishaw if you have any questions over permitted use of these images, or require further clarification of these Terms of use.

Restrictions

The images may not be used in any manner or context which might be perceived as offensive, misleading or illegal (for example pornographic, or obscene). The images may not be used in such a manner that may offend or be defamatory to Renishaw and / or the people depicted in the image. You shall ensure that the manner in which you use the images does not place them in a context that is misleading, inaccurate or untrue.

Images may not be used for commercial or promotional purposes. You cannot download these images to sell as is, or in a modified form. You cannot sub-licence your use of these images to any other third party.

Images may not be used in advertising, advertorials, commercial brochures, commercial websites or product packaging.

You cannot modify any of the images without the prior written consent of Renishaw.

The user is liable for any claims for damages which may arise as a result of claims brought by Renishaw or people depicted in the image due to improper use.

Copyright

The images are the property of Renishaw plc and you must accredit us on the work that you use the image, or we will consider it a copyright infringement. You should use the following publishing acknowledgement when using an image: © Copyright Renishaw plc. All rights reserved. Image(s) reproduced with the permission of Renishaw.

Liability

No warranty (express or implied) is provided in relation to the images or your use of them.

Renishaw limits its liability in connection with your use of the images as follows:

  • Renishaw does not exclude liability for personal injury or death caused by Renishaw's negligence (or any other matter that cannot be limited or excluded by law).
  • Renishaw has no liability to you for any losses of any kind (whether direct or indirect), including without limitation, for breach of contract, tort, breach of statutory duty arising out of or in connection with any use of the images.
  • By making use of images, you accept that this limitation of liability is reasonable.

You shall indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Renishaw against all claims, liability, damages, costs and expenses, including all reasonable legal fees and expenses, arising out of or related to any breach of these Terms of use, your use of the Media hub and the use of any image either alone or in combination with any other material, your failure to abide by any restriction regarding the use of an image, or any claim by a third party related to the use of an image, alone or in combination with any other material.

Law and jurisdiction

These Terms of use and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes and claims) are governed by and construed in accordance with English law and each party agrees to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
