GML helps engineers understand their mining operations

An in-depth understanding of mining operations has never been more important, both to ensure safe operating procedures as well as in being able to calculate size and position of complex mine workings, voids and material stockpiles.

Working with world leaders in laser measurement technology MDL, the GML is being used to help solve the problem of creating complex 3D volumetric representations of such operations, often working on multi-billion point clouds generated using MDL's revolutionary Dynascan LiDAR scanner.

By being able to tailor the geometry calculations to the inherent structure in the data, as derived from the MDL Dynascan system, the GML is able to produce those calculations more efficiently and optimally than using traditional 3rd party plug-ins.
