Pattern Making - Plastic chair

A sample plastic chair was scanned on the Cyclone scanning machine using a 6mm ball ended stylus.

After capture the data is verified prior to the generation of machining strategies. This verification will allow the capture processes to be checked preventing any surface errors being reproduced in the output for the machine tool.

The machining strategies developed on screen and the output verified using the virtual machining module (VMM) of Tracecut.

The 3D form to be machined using an area clearance routine leaving 2mm of stock material on all surfaces
