Q: How do I align the laser beam?

A: See NC4 or TRS2 laser align movies.

 

Q:  What are the largest and smallest tools that can be detected?

A: NC4 is Ø0.03 mm or larger depending on the separation and set-up. TRS2 is Ø0.05 mm (0.0012 in) or larger depending on the separation and set-up. 

 

Q:  How do I change approach and measuring Feed rate?

A:  You need to amend the macro software – Contact Renishaw's technical support for more details. 

 

Q:  How waterproof is my system?

A: The sealing rating is IPX8.

 

Q:  What types of tools can be measured?

A: All types of tools can be measured form Ø0.03 mm (0.0012 in) or larger depending on the separation and set-up.

 

Q:  What is the repeatability for tool diameter measurement?

A: Typical repeatability is ±0.1µm2σ dependent on system, separation and mounting.
