The Company
MTT Technologies Ltd is a UK owned and operated company, predominantly concerned with the design, development & production of Rapid Prototyping and Additive Manufacturing systems. Following a vigorous period of development on its Selective Laser Melting (SLM) technology and an increase in market demand, a new position has arisen for an applications specialist to undertake a number of duties including process development and training on powder based additive manufacturing systems.
Duties & Responsibilities
| - | Applications development on the range of SLM machines to optimise key performance indicators
(tensile strength, surface roughness, build speed, density) for a developing range of materials. |
| - | Analyse and record materials data and process performance information |
| - | Deliver training for customers world wide |
| - | Provide all the necessary applications based support to the sales and marketing teams |
| - | Research new and improved production methods and processing techniques |
Skills
| - | Degree qualified of manufacturing, mechanical or other similar discipline |
| - | Relevant previous experience in process optimisation and development |
| - | Ambitious and innovative engineer with an attitude towards continual development |
| - | Excellent communication skills at all levels and the ability to operate autonomously |
| - | Excellent IT skills and ability to adapt to new software quickly |
| - | Ability in six sigma and lean manufacturing methodologies would be advantageous |

Whilst the post is based in Staffordshire world wide travel will be required from time to time.
