Electronics Industrial & Summer Placements

Our electronic placements are involved in the conception and design of Renishaw's current and future products.

Electronics Industrial Placement

The Industrial Placement Scheme at Renishaw is suitable for students who are required to undertake a sandwich placement (nominally 12 months) as part of their degree course. The entire placement is normally spent within one product division to enable you to get fully involved and give you responsibilities within the projects that you will be working on.

You will be mentored to develop your skills, contribute to the project development and encouraged to participate in areas of electronic design, commissioning, testing and manufacture. You will learn about some of the processes used within Renishaw and the attention to detail needed to develop a product, whether it is research, analysing performance or supporting an environment to validate a system. You will be introduced to the design tools and have opportunities to learn about other areas of Renishaw, experiencing the day to day operation of a world-class engineering company. Networking with people within the business will develop your knowledge and provide opportunities to discuss your career ambitions.

We are looking for people who:

  • Are in a related degree course (electronic, physics, electromechanical) with a placement requirement.
  • Have a genuine interest in electronic design and development.
  • Are enthusiastic, engaging, capable of thinking logically about problem solving, have an excellent attention to detail, drive and ambition to contribute.

If you are looking to experience electronic engineering and are able to make a positive contribution with the right attitude, Renishaw would like to consider you.
