Electronic Industrial & Summer Placements
Our electronic placements are involved in the conception and design of Renishaw's current and future products.
Electronic Industrial Placement
The Industrial Placement Scheme at Renishaw is suitable for students who are required to undertake a sandwich placement (nominally 12 months) as part of their degree course. The entire placement is normally spent within one product division to enable you to get fully involved and give you responsibilities within the projects that you will be working on.
You will be mentored to develop your skills, contribute to the project development and encouraged to participate in areas of electronic design, commissioning, testing and manufacture. You will learn about some of the processes used within Renishaw and the attention to detail needed to develop a product, whether it is research, analysing performance or supporting an environment to validate a system. You will be introduced to the design tools and have opportunities to learn about other areas of Renishaw, experiencing the day to day operation of a world-class engineering company. Networking with people within the business will develop your knowledge and provide opportunities to discuss your career ambitions.
We are looking for people who:
- Are in a related degree course (electronic, physics, electromechanical) with a placement requirement.
- A genuine interest in electronic design and development.
- Enthusiastic, engaging, capable of thinking logically about problem solving, have an excellent attention to detail, drive and ambition to contribute.
If you are looking to experience electronic engineering and are able to make a positive contribution with the right attitude, Renishaw would like to consider you.
Electronic Summer Placement
Renishaw offers a number of paid placement opportunities during the summer holiday period for between 6 and 12 weeks. We are particularly interested to hear from students studying A Levels or undergraduates who are looking for the opportunity to experience and work within the identified disciplines at a leading engineering company.
The placements can anticipate to be involved within projects which will encourage and utilise the skills needed within an engineering discipline. Depending on project development there are opportunities to use the latest software applications, in-house development processes, technology and practical skills to gain a real insight into engineering and how Renishaw develops products.
Applications from bright, highly motivated individuals who are excited by engineering are encouraged. Renishaw engineers tend to be innovative, organised and passionate about their work both as an individual and as a team member and are looking for people with similar skills and passion – could this be you? Be part of an exciting innovative company with broad product portfolio and see where engineering can take you.
Applications open December 2019.
