STEM outreach
Promoting STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) careers.
Engineering is so important. It's vital to all of us in our everyday lives.
Renishaw's STEM outreach team brings these clear and positive messages into schools and colleges in Gloucestershire, Bristol and South Wales, and to universities throughout the country.
Our STEM outreach programme is designed to excite, to interest and engage students in a range of engineering activities. Our aim is to provide real insight into the vibrant world of engineering, and careers based on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) subjects.
We proactively work with more diverse audiences such as special educational needs and disability (SEND) schools and people from socio-economically disadvantaged areas. This helps us to give young people in our communities access to career options they may never have considered.
STEM Centre
In 2023, we opened a new science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) outreach facility at our New Mills site in Gloucestershire, UK. Our STEM centre will strengthen our education outreach efforts by providing a dedicated space for local school children to visit and learn more about STEM subjects and associated careers.
