At Renishaw, the health and safety of our customers, partners and employees is very important to us. We therefore fully support the current measures against the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and are implementing multiple measures to ensure that the risks for everyone involved are reduced to a minimum. At the same time, we have implemented an action plan to ensure business operations continue. This communication updates you on the current levels of service delivery and contact information, to help you identify specific support available in your market.
Using our capabilities to support the Global efforts against COVID-19:
Renishaw are proud to have a high tech and flexible integrated manufacturing supply chain in place, which has enabled us to rapidly react to a request for extra ventilator production alongside maintaining our standard production requirements to continue to fulfil your order demand. Renishaw product & know how is used Globally to support medical supply chains, from component manufacture and measurement requirements through to Raman spectroscopy analysis tools used in virus detection and drug manufacture. Technical sales, service and support:
As usual, our employees can be reached by telephone and email to discuss your requirements or any queries you may have. Our repairs service will also continue, with orders accepted and processed or replacement devices being delivered.
Online advice and training:
We would be happy to discuss any required advice or training requests with you individually. Training measures and programming services are also possible. Both of these services can be delivered through video conferencing facilities. We are here to help, so please do not hesitate to contact us for further details.
Installation and service operations:
Latest service levels – During these past few weeks we have been working hard to support critical industries involved in the fight against Covid-19 with onsite support as required (whilst adhering to local government guidelines). Our service and installation team is still available, and we are able to undertake these activities whilst taking into account the currently recommended measures in your market. Please call your local office for latest information.
Orders and deliveries:
At present we are pleased to continue to service your product requirements at normal service levels. Our program of building extra stock and bringing online extra warehousing sites is largely complete, with stock both in place and in transit. Therefore, we are now in a position to switch on this capability as required. If we need to switch your route of supply there may be some minor changes to your deliveries which would be communicated to you in advance of any shipment. At present, this facility exists only as backup, and only to be used if required. We will communicate with you as required and in advance of beginning any shipments from alternative locations.
Supporting the phased return to work across EMEA:
With many markets now slowly easing local restrictions as we pass the peak of the virus infection, some of you are beginning to return to work. We recognise that this may come with challenges in getting production restarted and optimised, and Renishaw is able to offer support and advice as required to help in this process. Your existing Renishaw technology can often be put to use in a way that allows for a return to productivity whilst reducing the requirement for a high density of people in the production environment.
