At the formnext exhibition, Renishaw's Dr Chris Sutcliffe and Marc Saunders explain how the company’s manufacturing expertise is being used to produce high quality performance parts for the Land Rover BAR America’s Cup team and the importance of a production tool chain – from metal additive manufacturing (3D printing) of a part through to conventional machining, in-process gauging and final inspection of geometry and surface finish on a co-ordinate measuring machine.
