About MP700

The MP700 features strain-gauge sensing technology, providing the most accurate machine tool probe available. With a low and consistent trigger force in all sensing directions, the MP700 is ideal for complex and contoured part inspection. Using only a simple calibration routine, the MP700 can be used in any measurement direction with uncompromised precision.

As with other Renishaw optical transmission machine probes, MP700 is available with optical output at 35° or 70° to the probe's axis.

For smaller machine tools, Renishaw recommends using the new generation OMP400 strain-gauge probe.

Renishaw recommends that carbon fibre styli be used with the MP700, OMP400, RMP600 and MP250 strain gauge probes. Styli made from carbon fibre are preferred as their lower mass is best suited for use with the sensitive strain gauge mechanisms used within these probes.
