Apprenticeships

Renishaw is an established engineering company whose products enhance precision, efficiency and quality in areas including metrology, medical diagnostics, dental CAD/CAM, spectroscopy and neurosurgery.  As part of our commitment to the future development of the company and its leading role in the industry, we want talented and enthusiastic innovators to join us at the start of their engineering careers by becoming Renishaw apprentices.

We have over 25 years of experience in developing and training apprentices.  This year we are able to offer four types of apprenticeship, covering a variety of mechanical, electronic, software, and plant maintenance disciplines.

Why choose an apprenticeship?

As an apprentice with Renishaw, you will benefit from:

  • Our commitment to the training and development of our employees
  • An education and qualification in an engineering discipline, paid for by the company
  • Exciting and challenging work placements, working on real projects and products
  • A competitive salary, as you earn while you learn
  • An excellent benefits package including pension, private medical insurance, and onsite gyms

The Apprenticeship Schemes

Technical Apprenticeships

  • Year 2 – day release to GTG to study the second year of the VRQ and NVQ III
  • Years 3 and 4 – study towards HNC, HND and possibly a degree on a day release basis at an appropriate university

Duration:   4 years

Entry requirements:   The minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C or above, including Maths
