Impression and model materials

Impression using incise™ recommended materialsRenishaw's dental scanning and manufacturing technology is certified to industry standards so you can be confident that your framework fits accurately on the model. Problems arise when the model doesn't represent the clinical situation.

As part of the development of the incise™ dental CAD/CAM system, Renishaw has done extensive research into the behaviour of dental impression and model materials to find the industry's best performers. Using our recommended materials will ensure that you get the perfect fit every time.

Good dental impression

Form reproduction - good impressionGreen shows perfect reproduction. Errors in this example are small - less than 20 µm. Using incise™ recommended impression and model materials will ensure that the frameworks you receive will need little or no adjustment when fitted in the mouth.

Bad dental impression

Form reproduction - poor impressionRed and blue areas show huge distortions in these materials. The model could be almost a quarter of a millimetre narrower than the tooth preparation. Using these materials could result in costly remakes.
