Analyst Programmer
A vacancy for an Analyst/Programmer has arisen within the Business Systems Department to cater for the expansion in the use of commercial IT systems throughout the Renishaw Group. The successful candidate will work in the Applications section of the IT department of an innovative and successful engineering company that is a world leader its field.
Key outputs and deliverables:
- Working with staff in subsidiary companies and departments across the Renishaw Group, implementing and enhancing commercial IT systems, as well as supporting the development of markets in new geographic and business areas.
- To analyse business needs, propose practical innovative solutions and see those solutions through to stable implementations, working both within a team and, where appropriate, individually.
Qualifications and expertise:
Applicants will need to demonstrate strong skills and expertise in several of the following areas:
- Implementing and supporting an ERP package (Sage Line 500 or Infor SyteLine, preferably)
- Systems analysis
- C#/.NET
- Visual Basic
- SQL Server
- Crystal Reports
Applicants should possess the following:
- A good degree or other substantial equivalent experience.
- The ability to demonstrate that you can learn new skills quickly.
Although not essential, the ability to speak a European language would be advantageous.
Please note: Applicants, who can demonstrate a strong aptitude in the above, but with less experience, may be considered for a Trainee Analyst/Programmer position.

The successful applicant will be able to show that they are self-motivated with good analytical, problem solving, communication and time management skills.
Location:
This role is based at the New Mills site at Wotton-under-Edge, Gloucestershire, near the M5. There is also likely to be some overseas travel involved.
