Financial Analyst (maternity cover)

The above position has arisen to provide maternity cover for a Financial Analyst.  The purpose of this role is to produce financial accounts for two UK based subsidiaries, to develop the reporting and understanding of project accounting reports, and to communicate with other parts of the organisation to improve the understanding and impact of agreed stock policies.

The outputs and deliverables of the role are as follows:

  • To produce and review monthly project accounting reports covering Design, Production and Marketing
  • The production and review of monthly UK stock analysis showing conformance to agreed policies 
  • Ad hoc support for the Finance department where required

Qualifications and expertise:

All applicants must have the following:

  • To be at least AAT qualified or hold sufficient equivalent work experience
  • To have basic accounting knowledge, preferably within a manufacturing organisation
  • To hold intermediate level skills in Microsoft Excel

Person specification:

The successful applicant to this role will be a logical thinker with excellent communication skills.  This individual should be capable of working on their own and with their own initiative, as well as being a good team player in supporting others.

Technical Administrator

Manufacturing Services Division

A vacancy has arisen for a Technical Administrator within the MSD (Manufacturing Services Division) Programming Department.  The purpose of this role is to carry out the wide range of administrative tasks associated with process documentation and the efficient running of this manufacturing facility.

The key outputs and deliverables of the role include:

  • Supporting the introduction of the Syteline materials and resource planning system at Stonehouse.
  • Co ordinating and maintaining process documentation to support design and process changes for current products.
  • Supporting quality initiatives, controlling engineering c/cars and departmental procedures.
  • Supporting Programming and the Machine Shop with collation and analysis of productivity data.
  • Various other administrative duties as required.  For example overtime/absence data entry, issuing work order documents and taking meeting minutes.

Qualifications and expertise:

  • A good level of computer literacy.
  • A minimum of four GCSE A C passes (or equivalent), including Maths and English.

Comprehensive training will be provided, however, an understanding of the manufacturing and production control systems/procedures within Renishaw would be beneficial.

Person specification:

The successful applicant will have excellent team working skills, will enjoy the challenge of working in the production environment, with demonstrable examples of providing excellent attention to detail.

Technical Administrator

Neurological Products Division

To support the developing neurological activities at Renishaw, the position of Technical Administrator has become available.  This role requires an enthusiastic and self motivated individual, whose main role will be to support the Neurological Products Division through various administrative activities.

The key outputs and deliverables include the following:

  • Organisation of travel (flights, hotels and the necessary paperwork) 
  • Organisation of visitors (hotels, transport, room bookings, lunch bookings etc.) 
  • Preparation support for board meetings and visitor presentations (e.g. printing, photocopying and scanning) 
  • Handling internal and external training requests 
  • The management of new starter requirements (e.g. computer, phone, login etc.) 
  • Handling the daily post and monthly payroll duties (collecting and distributing) 
  • The maintenance of the divisional stationary cupboard, the notice board, and recycling
  • The issuing of project documents to teamcentre 
  • The organising and hosting of health and safety audits and risk assessments 
  • Ordering of books/standards from the technical library 
  • To be responsible for managing MRI scanner administration tasks (e.g. the maintenance schedule/calendar) 
  • Maintenance of the divisional training database 
  • Provide similar support as detailed above for PulseTeq  (partner company of Renishaw, located at New Mills site)

Qualifications and expertise:

All applicants must have the following:

  • A minimum of four GCSE A C passes (or equivalent), including Maths and English 
  • Prior demonstrable experience of working in an administration role – in or outside of work

Financial Systems Analyst

The successful applicant to this position will be working as part of a dedicated team in a Group role, supporting and developing software applications for Finance users at UK and overseas locations who facilitate our operational and reporting needs.

The key outputs and deliverables of the role are as follows:

  • The development of our financial reporting, forecasting and planning application (MPC) – this is a primary function of the role.  All monthly accounts are submitted to PLC using the MPC software which is a hosted application with users using web access to submit their financial data. Financial Forecasts are collated monthly and a number of other financial developments are evolving as the financial and management accounting requirements increase significantly.
  • For Sage (our accounting software), the role holder will work within a support desk facility for existing worldwide installations, produce business analysis for new sites, and be part of a multi functional project team to implement the Sage/Renishaw solution. 
  • To work alongside a dedicated manufacturing project team to implement Syteline in the UK, Ireland and India.
  • To assist in the configuration/rollout of Journyx software being deployed to handle time recording. The present population of users completing timesheets weekly is approximately 1,100 with potential expand to approaching 2,000.
  • To assist with the administration of a document management system for handling scanned images of all incoming purchase invoices.
  • To write Crystal Reports against user requirements and defined Group Standards.
  • When requested, to assist with Wotton Travel’s travel management and accounting system, operated by a subsidiary company for handling Corporate and retail travel that use bespoke applications which require remote support.

Qualifications and Expertise:

All applicants must:

  • be a part qualified accountant or to hold an AAT qualification (or equivalent).
  • have prior expertise in financial accounting, specifically in the preparation of profit & loss and balance sheets.
  • hold practical knowledge and expertise of working in financial software/planning, with applications covering support and development.
  • have a proficiency with MS office products and database skills.

Although not essential, it is desirable if applicants have the following:

  • Some technical understanding of SQL and are able to write crystal reports.
  • Exposure to web application.
  • Previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Good language skills, as there will be regular dialogue with overseas offices.

Person specification:

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate that they are a self starter who is numerate, works well in a team environment, and is prepared to travel if required.  A logical thinker is required due to the elements of problem solving in the role.
