Setting up the stone master model
The inciseTM scanner software takes you through each step of the set-up process.
The first step is to ensure that the model is orientated so that all of the surfaces to be scanned can be accessed by a vertical stylus - i.e. there must be no vertical faces or undercuts.
Refer to the inciseTM laboratory guidelines for details of model set-up and scanning.
Customising your coping design
Wall thickness and cement space
The wall thickness and cement space can be chosen and specified in the inciseTM software.
For the latest wall thickness and cement space information, please call our support line on +44 1453 524111.
Anterior and posterior copings
Anterior copings are thinner than posterior copings, due to lower loads and the challenging aesthetic requirements in that zone. Anterior designed copings are not suitable for posterior restorations.
Spigot location

Before scanning, choose the least intrusive position for the spigot - the final piece of material to be removed in the machining process - from the point of view of porcelain build-up.
Die scanning and margin line generation
With the model in the correct orientation, the step-by-step instructions take you through the scanning process, followed by margin line generation.
