Software type and version finder

This page is designed to help our customers identify the software type and version running on any Renishaw Raman system.

The information will allow our service and support team to respond promptly and correctly to your enquiry.

Windows 95 and 98 platforms - WiRE™ 1.0

When using a Microsoft Windows 98 or Windows 95 computer, please ensure that the WiRE™ software is running. Under the 'Help' menu, select 'About Renishaw'.

This exposes the software version e.g. 1.3.33 in addition to the instrument serial number.

Windows XP platform - WiRE™ 2.0

When using a Microsoft XP computer, please ensure that the WiRE™ software is running. Under the 'Help' menu, select 'About Renishaw'.

This exposes the software version e.g. Service Pack 9.

WiRE™ 2.0 service pack 9 and later

If WiRE™ 2.0 service pack 9 or later is installed, additional software information may be required. In WiRE™ 2.0, under the the procedures menu, select 'ShowVersionNumbers'.  

This will generate a text file named Version.txt, with details of build version for all of the WiRE™ 2.0 object versions. This text file can then be emailed to raman.support@renishaw.com, or pasted into the 'Details of support request' text box in the Online support request form.
