This accessory kit allows the QC10 ballbar to perform 50 mm radius tests (standard minimum is 100 mm), helping to give an enhanced analysis of servo control systems on most types of machines.
The use of this calibrated artefact, made of a patented material that exhibits negligible thermal expansion, allows the QC10 to be calibrated before use and absolute measurements to be taken. For example, you can determine scale error on an axis rather than just scale mismatch between axes.
Expand the versatility of the QC10 ballbar by including lathes in your ballbar test programs. Diagnosing specific errors on your lathe is both quick and easy using this accessory.
With tests performed in the XZ plane the VTL adaptor replaces the tool cup of the standard kit and allows the magnetic centre-cup to be retracted after centering, so that the machine can be moved to the test start position without losing centre location, Allows checking of many 2 axis machines e.g. vertical turning lathes and laser cutting machines.
