Robot calibration solutions in operation — Product demonstrations
Our RCS series of robot calibration tools includes portable toolkits and in-process probing solutions specifically designed for six-axis industrial robots.
Are you a robot integrator or robotics engineer? Or perhaps you work in manufacturing or industrial automation? Then the Renishaw RCS series is for you.
Reduce robot programming time
Integrating an RCS P-series probing system to your robot cell helps you to set up tool and part frames quickly and reliably with an alignment routine. You can then easily recover the frames after collisions or cell relocations, cutting overall set-up times. If a robot in operation requires maintenance, use an RCS T-90 tri-ballbar system beforehand to identify its joint offsets. After completing maintenance, you can recover these offsets to return the robot to its previous state. This means all of the robot's routines still work and the cell gets back into operation within minutes instead of hours.
Improve robot accuracy
Industrial robots are repeatable but not accurate, due to mechanical tolerances and general wear over time. This historically makes them unsuitable for high-precision tasks.
Calibrating a robot with RCS T-90 accounts for mechanical tolerances in the robot links, and gravitational loads, to improve the accuracy of its movements.
Test your robot's path accuracy and joint repeatability with an RCS L-90 linear ballbar system, helping you to identify where poor performance is coming from.
Renishaw's reputation is built on over 50 years of expertise in metrology. Now, we bring this knowledge to the world of automation.
