Available with decimal and binary interpolation

REE interfaceThe new REE and REF are ground breaking interpolators that offer many innovative features and a range of interpolation factors all the way up to x4096. The patented filtering optics of the readhead combined with the Automatic Gain, Offset and Balance Control of the interface, keep cyclic error (sub-divisional error – SDE) below ±50 nm at all speeds. Analogue output interfaces are also available, which use this exceptional signal control, to output highly accurate 1 Vpp signals from modest quality analogue inputs.

High speed

Both the REE and REF generate industry standard RS422A digital quadrature capable of high speed (2.8 m/s at 0.1 μm resolution) and offer a number of higher “customer clock-speed” options (25, 30 and 50 MHz) to ensure compatibility with a new generation of high-speed host controllers. The REE interpolates 1 Vpp encoder outputs while the REF interpolates the unique signals from the compact RGH25F and RGH20F readheads.

Easy installation

RGH25F readhead with REF interpolatorBoth the REE and REF feature a quick yet robust calibration sequence for optimal installation and a tri-coloured set-up LED which monitors signal strength. To help achieve the perfect set-up this LED illuminates blue when signal strength of 100% ±10% is achieved. There is also a set-up line with voltage proportional to signal amplitude, for remote monitoring and diagnostics.
