Renishaw will be exhibiting its range of precision engineering technologies at MACH 2012 from 16 – 20 April 2012 at the NEC, Birmingham, UK. This will include brand new products, such as Equator™ - the versatile gauge™, and the SLM250 selective laser melting machine for creating complex parts in a variety of metals, using an additive manufacturing process.

Renishaw announces the appointment of Sheila Schermerhorn as regional sales manager for the Southwest region, covering Texas and Louisiana. Schermerhorn provides applications engineering solutions for Renishaw's machine tool, calibration, CMM and styli products.

Renishaw Diagnostics Ltd, developers of the RenDx™ Multiplex Assay System for infectious disease research and diagnosis, today announced that it has been certified to ISO 13485:2003 for the following scope: design, development, product manufacture and management of subcontracted manufacture of molecular diagnostic systems for infectious diseases.

At Autosport 2012, being held in Birmingham, UK, from 12th to 15th January, Renishaw will be focusing on it latest metrology products that increase inspection throughput, and its new range of additive manufacturing machines that allow metal parts to be ‘designed today, built tomorrow’.

Sir David McMurtry, Chairman and Chief Executive of global engineering company Renishaw, has been formally accepted as a Fellow of the Royal Society at an admissions ceremony held at the Society’s offices in London on 15th July. During the ceremony Sir David signed the Society’s historic Charter Book which since 1663 has recorded the signatures of each new Fellow and Foreign Member, including such luminaries as Charles Darwin, Isaac Newton, Stephen Hawking and Tim Berners-Lee.
