Renishaw is pleased to announce that the Neurosurgery Department of Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Pasteur in Nice, France have now completed their first neurosurgical robotic procedures using Renishaw’s neuro|mate® stereotactic system.
Renishaw is pleased to announce that the first neurosurgical robotic procedure with its NeuroMate® stereotactic system has taken place at the Neurosurgery Department of Hospital Nacional Guillermo Almenara in Lima, Peru.
Cutting-edge robot technology that enables neurosurgeons to deliver sophisticated neuro-implantable devices with pinpoint accuracy will soon be in place at the UK’s North Bristol NHS Trust. The Friends of Frenchay Hospital have agreed to provide the £270,000 funding for the neuromate® robot made by Renishaw plc.
Renishaw, a world leader in engineering technologies, introduced an exciting range of high precision systems for functional and stereotactic neurosurgery at the 15th Quadrennial Meeting of the World Society for Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery (WSSFN) that took place in Toronto, Canada, from May 24th to 27th 2009. These included the neuromate® surgical robot, and image-guided stereotactic technologies, some of which are still in development.
