RMP600 high-accuracy machine probe

For workpiece inspection and job set-up on multi-tasking machines, machining centres and gantry machining centres.

Unrivalled 3D accuracy and repeatability.

Superior communication capability.

Outstanding performance for less scrap and higher profits.

Part of the QE series, the RMP600 is a compact, high-accuracy touch probe with radio signal transmission which offers all the benefits of automated job set-up as well as the ability to measure complex 3D part geometries on all sizes of machining centres, including multi-tasking machines.

The RMP600 successfully combines patented strain gauge technology with the unique frequency hopping radio transmission system all Renishaw radio probes.

The RENGAGE technology family

Reduce scrap, enhance productivity and increase profits – Renishaw machine tool probes can keep your machining process under control.

RMP600 measuring blade

Superior 3D accuracy

Delivers unrivalled submicron performance when measuring complex 3D shapes and contours.

Ultra-low trigger force

Unmatched low trigger force for delicate work helps eliminate surface and form damage.

Robustly engineered

Robust, even in the harshest environments, providing reliable measurement and long service life.

Inspect difficult parts

Improved accuracy when using long and custom styli means difficult parts can be measured with ease.

We are very happy with the accuracy of RMP600 and, in particular, the consequent reduction in scrap parts further down the production line. These are large, expensive components and we can use the probe to identify and avoid errors.

Extremely reliable radio transmission

Renishaw radio probes use radio transmission with frequency hopping spread spectrum technology (FHSS).

FHSS technology enables devices to avoid interference and transmission dead spots, ensuring impressive reliability even in high-density radio frequency environments.

Renishaw probes use the globally recognised 2.4 GHz waveband and are compliant with radio regulations all over the world.

3D measurement with RENGAGE™ technology

MP250 strain gauge mechanism

RENGAGE™ technology, combines proven silicon strain gauge technology with ultra-compact electronics – allowing on-machine probing systems to achieve outstanding 3D measurement capability and submicron repeatability.

As the strain gauges are independent from the kinematic mechanism, probes with RENGAGE technology have an ultra-low trigger force – providing exceptional measurement accuracy as well eliminating the possibility of surface and form damage.

Accuracy is the main reason we use Renishaw technology. I don't think we could do half of what we do without their probes.

GoProbe app

With the help of Renishaw's probe and software, Honeywell can be sure that the machining process will run as expected. Before implementing the new technology, the machine operator would fit the part, set the gauge and state the diameter and the faces. If any of this information was missed, inaccurate, or if the fixture was damaged, the final product would not be suitable. Now, we can nip any defects in the bud by detecting them in advance.

Radio interface

The radio interface uses FHSS technology to convey and process signals between the inspection probe and the CNC machine controller. Both the RMI-Q and RMI-QE can be used with Renishaw radio inspection probes.

RMP600 inspection probe

A 60 mm diameter touch-trigger inspection probe, equipped with RENGAGE™ technology for high-accuracy measurement and FHSS technology for reliable transmission.

Styli

A range of solid high modulus carbon fibre styli has been developed for use specifically with strain gauge probes. These styli are designed to minimise pre-travel variation and improve the accuracy of the probe.
