NOTE: Please note that the SPA2-2 needs to be a suitable configuration for the REVO system.
The REVO head and CMM system are operated through UCCserver which uses I++DME command protocol to communicate between the system application software and the UCC2-2. The CMM is controlled by the UCC2-2, via its standard connections, while the head is communicated with via the REVO PCI card, which drives the head via the SPA2-2 servo power amplifier.
Full 5-axis capability is achieved through interaction between the UCC2-2, the REVO PCI card and the SPA2-2, to co-ordinate all the motion and metrology aspects across the three CMM axes and the two head axes.
