UDS universal datum sphere
The universal datum sphere enhances the use of both manual and automated CMMs
It allows for quick and easy adjustment to set ball stem over a wide range of probe datuming angles. Allowing for datuming above, centrally and below the ball.
The spheres are made from hard-wearing tungsten carbide and are available in five different diameters:
- 12 mm
- 19 mm
- 25 mm
- 3/4 in
- 1 in
Each sphere kit comprises:
- One datum sphere
- Pivot pillar, base, 'C' spanner
- Ball certificate and storage box
- Adaptor for twin ball applications (optional)
