Capital Markets Day - Tuesday 17th June 2025

Renishaw hosted its 2025 Capital Markets Day for analysts, institutional investors and private shareholders, at its Miskin manufacturing site in Wales on 17th June. The agenda included updates on Renishaw's strategic progress, including new product releases in FY26, and an explanation of how the company is aiming to achieve its financial goals. The company also set out changes to its segmental reporting from FY26.

The presentation described Renishaw's focus on achieving growth and margin targets to drive shareholder value. It discussed the following areas:

  • Driving revenue growth through accelerated innovation
  • Improving operating margins through focused execution and productivity
  • Rationalising Renishaw's portfolio and aligning into new business segments
  • Focusing on cash conversion and growing shareholder returns

The company also provided more detail on Renishaw's financial targets, including a new operating cost reduction programme which aims to save £20 million of annualised labour costs.

A key part of the day was a tour of the Miskin facilities, which showcased recent capital investments and Renishaw's world-class manufacturing processes. Attendees were shown the significant investment in manufacturing capacity that has been made at Miskin and saw first-hand how additional investments are being made to help drive productivity, improve margins and increase return on capital.

Attendees also saw how Renishaw uses its own technology to efficiently and sustainably manufacture high-quality components, and therefore how its customers similarly benefit from the use of those products.

The new reporting segmentation is being introduced from 1 July 2025 to help investors better understand Renishaw's business. There will be three new segments which are more closely linked to end-user markets and external demand drivers, and which are better aligned with the company's evolving organisational structure. The three new segments will be:

  • Industrial Metrology – comprising metrology sensors for CMMs and machine tools, metrology accessories, calibration systems, CMM & gauging systems, and metrology software
  • Position Measurement – comprising encoder products for position feedback
  • Specialised technologies – comprising spectroscopy products, additive manufacturing systems, industrial automation products, and the non-core neurological business
