Ease of use – boost efficiency with flexible gauging
How easy is easy?
Shop floor operators select and run programs using the user-friendly Renishaw Organiser front-end software, included with all Equator™ systems. The Equator gauging system has various reporting options, including simple pass/fail, a more detailed view in Process Monitor, or automatic data capture for updating machine tool offsets. Automated cells can be easily configured with EZ-IO automation software.
All of the operators can use Equator. It really is easy; just load the part and push the button. It completely simplifies the process and frees up manpower, which in turn helps to deliver ROI very rapidly for the cell.

Organiser shop floor software

Organiser is an intuitive software interface for shop floor operators, featuring image-driven program selection, program execution and data reporting which requires little or no training. A customised screen is created for each part, allowing the operator to start gauging with one simple operation.
Clear icons show whether the system is in master or measure mode, and highlight the start button alongside other functions. When the program is running, estimated time remaining is displayed along with an on-screen stop button. After gauging has finished a Pass or Fail window can be displayed, along with numbers of features within tolerance.
Equator Button Interface

In many shop-floor environments simple operator controls are essential. The Equator Button Interface (EBI), works directly with the Equator Organiser software.
EBI uses large push buttons which can be used by operators wearing gloves. It is not affected by shop-floor contamination and can be mounted on the front of the Equator gauge or on the framework of a table or enclosure. At the most basic level it can be used to start gauging programs, but it can also be used to stop those programs mid-cycle, select other programs and navigate the Organiser environment. Equator can be moved using the jog keys if necessary and there are buttons for initial alignment, switching between master/measure modes, changing view screens and easy error recovery.
