  • Renishaw helps AM industry to grow at AMUG 2019

    Kwik Bolt aircraft assembly AM part Leading metal additive manufacturing (AM) innovator, Renishaw is exhibiting at the 2019 AMUG conference in Chicago, USA, where it will showcase high-quality parts to the global additive manufacturing community to demonstrate what is possible with productive multi-laser AM. From March 31st to April 4th, 2019, the company can be found on stand D14 showcasing components from the aerospace, automotive, medical and marine industries, as well as consumer technology.

  • New innovative encoder scale opens up new possibilities

    RKLC close-up Renishaw has launched a new substrate mastered encoder scale that adopts the thermal behaviour of the underlying substrate. The RKLC encoder scale is a robust, 6 mm wide stainless steel tape with a thickness of just 0.15 mm. The scale is compatible with Renishaw’s VIONiC™, TONiC™ and QUANTiC™ incremental encoder families.

The Open Day, held at the company’s world-class Innovation Centre in Gloucestershire, UK, featured a presentation from Renishaw, alongside talks from Airbus, GKN, Rolls-Royce, Castle Precision Engineering and Sandvik Coromant.

    Outstanding Contribution to UK Industry Award At the Manufacturing Technologies Association (MTA) Annual Dinner, Sir David McMurtry and John Deer, founders of Gloucestershire-based engineering company Renishaw, were honoured for their outstanding contribution to British engineering. Attended by over 500 members and guests, the event, held at Park Plaza Hotel in Westminster on February 28th, 2019, marked the MTA’s 100th anniversary.
