Renishaw expands European reach of AM Solutions Centres
To accelerate the adoption of laser powder bed fusion for series production applications, engineering company Renishaw has expanded its global network of additive manufacturing (AM) Solutions Centres. New facilities in Barcelona, Spain and Torino, Italy are now operational to allow local companies to access Renishaw’s equipment and expertise at a fixed and predictable cost.
Renishaw becomes official partner of Cardiff Blues Community Foundation
To continue the success of Renishaw’s education outreach programme, the global engineering company has become an official partner of the Cardiff Blues Community Foundation. The three-year partnership will see the Guinness PRO14 rugby club’s community team deliver a new secondary school programme to raise the aspirations of year 8 and 9 pupils in the local area.
Renishaw collaborates with University Dental Hospital of Wales to produce unique surgical implants
Global engineering technologies company, Renishaw, has collaborated with University Dental Hospital of Wales (UDH), Cardiff, to help overcome some of the challenges associated with surgical implants. UDH has previously used Renishaw’s additive manufacturing (AM) services to manufacture a series of dental products, including cobalt chrome frameworks. However, the hospital has also been using AM to produce custom maxillofacial implants and surgical guides.
Renishaw celebrates 40 years of apprentices with record intake
Global engineering technologies company Renishaw is recruiting for a record 68 apprentices across its Gloucestershire and South Wales sites. The 2019 intake will be the 40th round of apprentices to join Renishaw, which has taken apprentices every year since 1979. Applications for a range of roles including engineering, software, embedded electronic design and development, and IT are now open until Friday March 1st, 2019.
