inVia: simple to use
inVia simplifies your experiments. Getting reliable results is your priority, and you want to obtain them as easily as possible.
Our experience is unrivalled: Renishaw has designed, developed and refined its Raman spectrometers over two decades making inVia the ultimate confocal Raman microscope.
The inVia is fully automated, removing the need for manual operator intervention. You can automatically change key components, such as lasers, Rayleigh filters, gratings and detectors.
Alignment and validation are automated; you can be assured that the system will still be fully optimised, even after you have changed configuration.
Most operators will never need to touch a component within the spectrometer. However, it is possible to manually swap components if, for example, you wish to use a very wide range of lasers and filters.
Validation and calibration
inVia has the following built-in:
- mixed gas calibration lamp ‑ for accurate spectral calibration
- internal Raman reference sample ‑ for full system performance validation (health check)
With these you can easily check the performance of the instrument. You can rapidly and easily validate and calibrate your instrument with the minimum of effort. You do not need to replace your sample with an external reference standard.
See the detail with your own eyes
inVia can support a fully functioning binocular (two working eyepieces) in addition to video viewing.
With the binocular you can see a much larger area—and gain instant feedback—as you move the sample. Most importantly, you can see faint features that are hard to resolve on a computer screen. You might miss vital sample information without this capability.
Rapidly switch from viewing mode to Raman mode
One click of the mouse and inVia Reflex can switch between visual viewing mode (viewing through binocular and/or video) and Raman measurement mode, saving you time and preventing errors. You can configure your inVia to automatically switch back to sample viewing after data collection is complete.
Get a big view of the sample
inVia can, when equipped with a sample stage (such as Renishaw's HSES), generate an image of the sample that covers an area much larger than the field of view of the microscope. You can use this image to easily define locations for subsequent data collection.
Renishaw's WiRE software links all your data and measurement parameters together in one place; you need to do less manual note taking. For example, you can review the microscope image of the sample with the locations of the data collections superimposed.
Remote use for added convenience
If your inVia Reflex is networked, you don't need to be sat in front of it to change its configuration or collect data.
inVia Reflex's extensive automation enables you to, without the need for manual intervention:
- view samples
- collect data
- process and analyse data
- reconfigure the instrument
- validate the system using internal calibration sources
With inVia's WiRE control software you can define and execute measurement templates and workflows. These guarantee reproducibility of all parameters, such as laser excitation, laser power, laser quenching and spectral range. This saves time and simplifies access to specific configurations for users, regardless of their level of experience.
inVia Reflex works 24/7
You can queue multiple measurements. For example, inVia Reflex can run many mapping experiments sequentially—without intervention—acquiring each map from a different sample, at different laser wavelengths. inVia gets your data while you are busy elsewhere.
