REVO RSP2 scanning probe
RSP2 for 2D-scanning and 3D touch-trigger measurement.
RSP2 is a dedicated lightweight probe for use on REVO systems, capable of 2D-scanning (x, y) and 3D touch-trigger measurement (x, y, z). The RSP2 has a universal body to which a number of different length stylus holders, with a minimum reach of 175 mm and a maximum reach of 500 mm, can be fitted.
The RSP works using Renishaw's tip-sensing technology, specifically designed to reduce the scanning forces and minimise stylus wear.

How tip sensing works
Video animation of the RSP2 REVO probe's tip-sensing. As the stylus touches the part and bends the reflector is displaced. The altered return path of the laser is then sensed by a PSD. The exact tip position of the stylus is known because the reflector and stylus ball are close together.
