在美国内华达州巴特尔山举办的世界人力车速度挑战赛上,Ken Talbot和残奥会选手、大英帝国勋章获得者Karen Darke双双打破了男子和女子手动自行车速度世界纪录。Talbot和Darke的速度分别达到51.86 mph和46.05 mph,目前在手动自行车手速度排名榜上分列第一位和第二位,而且Darke还超过了原来的男子纪录。这一纪录是骑乘ARION4项目打造的自行车创造的。ARION4项目由利物浦大学自行车团队(University of Liverpool Velocipede Team,ULV团队)发起设立,并得到了众多工程技术公司比如雷尼绍的鼎力支持。
