MCR20 rack kit for automatic stylus changing with TP20 (includes 1 × standard force and 1 × extended force modules)

The MCR20 module changing rack is designed to securely store up to six TP20 probe modules for automatic changing, and to protect them from airborne contaminants. The MCR20 is easily mounted onto any CMM. Setting the MCR20 rack alignment and probe module changing co-ordinates requires minimal effort. The standard force probe module is identified by a black cap. This probe module is suited to the majority of applications requiring extensions up to 50 mm long. The extended force probe module is identified by a brown cap. Typically, this probe module will only be required with large stylus assemblies and where spurious triggers caused by machine vibration and acceleration preclude the use of either the standard or medium force probe modules.

The recommended stylus limits for the standard and extended force probe module are:

• Straight styli up to 50 mm long
• Star and cranked styli up to 20 mm offset
• Any stylus type up to 60 mm long*
